Did you notice that in more and more adverts you can see “search online for” callout?
I was just watching Simpsons and idleing on IRC on my laptop next to me when the adverts came on and they showed this Counter-Strike-like video and at the end this sentence: “Search Online For Start Thinking Soldier” with a custom made search field and a mouse pressing the Search Button.
I believe that these kind of adverts AND the recent plans of BT of increasing the broadband coverage will help British Web Designers a great deal.
That’s exactly what we need in these hard times of Credit Crunch to encourage businesses to spend money on websites, which are, at the end of the day, the best advertising tool anyway.
It’s an argument that I will use in my future meetings, it’s good to have it as a sales pitch.
With increasing internet users in the United Kingdom and increasing interest in Search Engines and possibly in SEO it will be a lot easier to convince business owners that Search Engine Optimisation is an important aspect of the website and that people do use Search Engines.
